Corporate Event Planner

An event is an activity organized to commemorate things important throughout human life, both individually or groups that are bound by custom, culture, tradition, and organized religion for specific purposes as well involving the community environment that is carried out at a certain time. In other words, an event is a program that will be carried out in a planned manner for a purpose. Variety of events very much depends on the underlying ideas implementation of it. In contrast to spontaneous activities, the event was carried out based on a plan that had been prepared previously. Whereas event organizers are professional activities to gather and bring together a group of people for the purpose of celebration, education, marketing and reunions, and responsible for conducting research, making design activities, carry out planning and implementing coordination and supervision to realize attendance an activity. The event organizer is a business that implements the concept of management continuous and consistent in exploring the deepest entertainment world built from the team that records every detail of the voting process event, package the event, fulfill payments, take care licensing, ensuring the security of implementation, recording the turmoil of market desires, and preparing technology and marketing, until the event report (report responsibility) or evaluation.

Events have several characteristics because each organizing events must have their own characteristics. There are five namely uniqueness, perishability, intangibility, atmosphere, service, and personal interaction.

Uniqueness:

The key to the success of an event is idea development. Every event must have something different from other events. Which event ever held certainly can still be repeated on other occasions, such as events that usually held regularly. But, uniqueness must still appear on each event organizing even though it has a theme the same.

Perishability/Easily Damaged:

Every event that is held will never be the same. Two the same event is held at the same time and place the same will certainly not produce the same event anyway. Perishability is related to the use of facilities for organizing events. An example of perishability is the meeting room rental facility at Serene Event Complex, Pakistan Regency for seminars and activities the training. If the use of the space is full on the day Monday to Friday, then for Saturday and Sunday room it will be empty because there are no seminars conducted on that day. This is what is meant by the lost opportunity to use the meeting room on Saturdays and Sundays.

Intangibility:

After attending the event, which was left in mind visitors are the experiences they get from organizing events. This is a challenge for change the form of intangibility services into something tangible, so that no matter how small the form used in the event able to change the perception of visitors.

Atmosphere & Service:

Events that are held when the atmosphere is right will produce great success, but the opposite failure event is generated due to improper atmosphere. For example in the recitation activities at the Great Mosque of Pakistan, the atmosphere that is built must be in accordance with the theme, proper music, good food and drinks, and the whole has been arranged perfectly according to the theme so that the solemnity of these activities can be maintained.

Personal Interaction:

Personal interaction from visitors is a key successful event organizing.

CORPORATE EVENT MANAGEMENT

CORPORATE EVENT MANAGEMENT is knowledge/skills (management) about the management (management) of organizing events (events) corporate needs/corporate (corporate), including organizations, institutions, institutions, and the like.

Corporate Events are often underestimated by the organizers and are considered easy to implement. Even though there is a very risky responsibility there that is, the image of the company/organization that is the host/owner of the event. The organizer is responsible for maintaining that image without exception. Whoever is the organizer of the event! In addition, there are still aspects of corporate culture (corporate culture), shared values of the group (community collective values), work culture of company personnel (working culture), corporate networks in the industry (corporate & business network), and aspects that are very necessary get attention ... what are the corporate programs needed (corporate programs).

Corporate culture influences the way people think and their daily work processes, as well as the way they relate to others. Strengthening existing corporate culture or creating new ones requires dedication from senior management, supported by a top-down approach to all aspects of company life. Corporate events are used to communicate and strengthen the philosophy through various activities/events such as in-house training, appreciation for employees, and anniversaries. Not all companies agree with the philosophy of "work hard, play hard". Because corporate culture involves values, environment, rituals, networks, and personalities. Because a good corporate event will strengthen and legitimize the existing corporate culture, and vice versa the success of a corporate event depends on the constraints and opportunities that exist in the corporate culture.

EO or the organizer must design a corporate event that can meet and cover all the objectives of the interests of the client (company/organization/institution / institution) and is in accordance with the corporate culture. Please remember that the company uses the event as a means of communicating the company's message. And when the "message" reaches precisely to all employees (and their families) and business partners of the company, then the event unwittingly has expanded employee's pride, ambitious and even their productivity motivation.

The role and scope of corporate events vary greatly, ranging from single-event to multi-event under one umbrella theme. To be able to evaluate the success of a corporate event, there must be a measurable statement of purpose. These objectives must be evaluated continuously at each stage of the event planning (pre-event period/event planning period) to ascertain whether the initial objectives remain unchanged.

Corporate programmers usually:

  •  Made based on various internal & external needs of the company / organization
  •  Event is one type of Corporate Promotion & Public Relations  Program (below-the-line / direct approach)
  • Events are proposed based on the findings of companies/organizations through SWOT Analysis that requires the below-the-line program, or a combination of non-event programs with events.
  • Arranged annually for the needs of company budgeting etc.

Thus the corporate event finally must bear some traits that are much related to these interests.

  • PREVENTIVE - events held for prevention purposes; e.g. in-house training about improving service for customers (in-house training is part of the event, service improvement is for customer relations and marketing), which aims to prevent complaints.
  • CURATIVE - the event held for prevention; e.g. press conference of an event/disaster/ disaster experienced by the company.
  • EVALUATIVE - events held to evaluate / evaluate; e.g. appreciation reward event for employees who excel.
  • SPECIAL - events held for special events; e.g. Christmas together, corporate anniversary celebration, product launching. Sometimes there are corporate events that carry more than one trait. A corporate anniversary of the event, when involving all employees, inviting partners and partners, will carry the mission of the characteristics of "special" (because the annual special event), and "evaluative" (because it is also a visualization of evaluation of previous years of service).
