Proposal Preparation

In order to provide adequate information according to the needs of potential sponsors, a proposal must contain the following:

1.     General description

         Give sponsors an overview of your organization and the benefits you can offer.

2.     Event / Property Details

The information sheet that lists the date, time, location, projected number and profile of visitors, ticket prices, and membership numbers and so on - all related to hard data/quantities (quantitative). The information provided here varies depending on the type of event being held.

3.     Marketing Plan

The marketing plan that you have compiled is included in this section. The plan explains how you will market your event, the value of all marketing components, the media you will use, and the publication plan.

4.     Market Research

To get a sponsor, you must have comprehensive information about your target market, at least their profile - who they are, their level of education, where they live, and so on. Of course, this was obtained from research.

5.     Pushers

In order for the sponsor to be confident of the benefits you offer, show evidence of the benefits that the sponsor has obtained at the event that you have previously held.

6.     Benefit Package

Show some of the benefits listed in the benefit inventory list to your potential sponsors. Use bullet marks for each benefit. To facilitate the understanding of potential sponsors, you can also group these benefits into categories that have been defined in the benefit inventory list.

7.     Investment

In this section, you must specify all forms of investment that the sponsor can contribute. These investments can take the form of:

a.       Cash

b.       Service or goods

c.        Promotional support that directly benefits your organization
